Near Enough: Daytripping in London

November 3, 2014

Ate: pan seared squid served with lemon, parsley and chilli pangratto in the Royal Court Theatre Bar and Kitchen for lunch. For dinner I indulged in eggplant chips with fennel yoghurt; fig, gorgonzola and italian cured meat pizzetta and pickled onion rings at Spuntino, Soho

Royal Court Theatre Kitchen

Admired: pretty houses in South Kensington, Chinatown, graffiti by King’s Cross

Bought: HUNGER, Fashion by Christopher Breward and a rather cool pen with a flashing camera topper

Drank: Cherry Cola cocktail (1 shot spiced rum, 1 shot amaretto. Coke over ice, cherry garnish) at the Royal Court, a sweet cocktail at Spuntino and a strawberry black bubble tea from Yao Yao Cha in Covent Garden

Royal Court Theatre Bar

Failed: at finding gluten-free food options in the places I ate at

Met: a friend I worked with at Leeds International Film Festival

Rested: in the V&A garden

V&A Garden

Rode: the tube to South Kensington and later Knightsbridge to Piccadilly Circus

Smiled: at a very talented violinist in Piccadilly Circus tube station

Visited: the Horst: Photographer of Style exhibition at the V&A

V&A Subway entrance

Walked: from the V&A to the Royal Court, Royal Court Theatre to Knightsbridge, Piccadilly Circus to Kings Cross (via Covent Garden)

Watched: The Wolf From The Door at Royal Court Theatre
