Cheery Little Thing moved into the offline world for a few months to explore the small pleasures in life through a couple of events. An overview of each event can be found below:

Betty Magazine in Conversation / Betty Summer 2014 Launch

For my first event I hosted a ‘in conversation’ talk with Betty Magazine which was followed by a Leeds launch for the Summer issue.

Betty aren’t wrong when they say they’re our new best friend and I brought them to Leeds so they could share their story about how they’ve become our go to place for fashion, music, culture and lifestyle content.

The philosophy of embracing who you are, celebrating it and sharing what they like has been key to Betty’s appeal and I was proud to introduce the Betty team to some of my favourite Leeds people and independents.

There’s a blog post featuring a gallery of photos taken by Ma Maposa on the evening if you’d like to have a look.

To learn a little more about those involved in the event, take a look at the Betty Summer Launch previews of Heavy Soul, The Grub and Grog Shop and Noisette Bakehouse.

Scrumdiddlyumptious: An Afternoon of Chocolate Indulgence

For my second event I hosted an afternoon of chocolate indulgence in partnership with Gallery, Munro House called Scrumdiddlyumptious to celebrate Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’s 50th Birthday.

We sold out a couple of days beforehand and were excited to welcome 24 people to our choctastic celebration. The table was packed with lots of sweet treats and we encouraged our guests to pace themselves to make the most out of the offering without making themselves feel sick.

To read more about the event’s menu, view some more photos and read some of the feedback from our guests, read my roundup blog post.

If you’ve attended any of our events and have blogged about them or published pictures, do send me a link via Twitter or email.
